A new app called WedPics crowdsources your wedding album. Available for iPhone and Android, the app has your wedding guests snap photos of your big day, contributing those photos to one epic album that everyone can view, download, and comment on.

Bank of America followed in the footsteps of many other banking institutions this week, and added the ability to deposit checks via its mobile app. To deposit a check, you simply snap a picture, and the bank uses that image rather than your physical check to make a deposit. USAA was the first to offer the ability to deposit a check by phone, and Chase has also mobile check deposits for some time. .
A new iPhone app turns your device’s camera into a biosensor to measure your heart rate. Called Cardiio, the app uses the forward-facing camera on your phone to analyze the amount of light reflected off of your face; it then uses that data to measure your pulse without any extra hardware.

Sort of like karaoke across the world, the app has you sing a track from its extensive library, and then inviting others to join in. A virtually infinite number of people can be added to a single song, allowing you to share the experience with just a single friend or literally sing with thousands.
Tired of paying full price for something just to find it discounted a few days later? Eyeona, a new app for iPhone and Android scans your receipts and drops you an email if the price drops on anything you’ve purchased.
Don’t want to give your real phone number to that guy you just met at a bar or that girl on Craigslist who is interested in buying your old iPad? Burner is an app that produces temporary numbers you can use for those types of situations and then “burn” when you’re done with them. Calls and texts are automatically forwarded to your traditional number for you to answer, but once they’ve served their purpose can be disposed of so you don’t keep receiving unwanted calls.
